I’ve just upgraded from FireFox 0.9.3 to FireFox 1.0PR, and I must say I am rather impressed with it.

Firstly, I’d like to point out the few anoyances that I have with it. Firstly, the extension and theme upgrade checker still doesn’t seem to be working. FireFox was nice enough to point out the themes and extensions that were not working since the upgrade and it tried to do an upgrade check during the installation but I still had to go though and manually upgrade everything.

That’s the only complaint so far, and it was only a five minute job to get it sorted.

Now for the good stuff:

  • All the extensions and themes that I used in 0.9.3 were already available for 1.0PR!!!
  • Now RSS bookmarking feature! FireFox will tell you if an RSS or Atom feed is available for a site and allow you to bookmark it.
  • Fast to load. In fact, it seems to be as fast as IE to load from cold.

I love it when software upgrades are release, especially if they work first time… now I just need to wait for w.bloggar v4 to be released.
