My parents dog (or my sisters.. depending on your point of view) has been at the vets today. He’s had to have his knee virtually rebuilt as the ligaments have gone in it. So for the past week (or more) he’s been walking around with a collapsed knee.
It was decided he should have the operation to fix it but this means that he’ll be immobile for as much as a month. With a full recovery taking as long as six months.
He’s not had a bad lot so far. I believe he is about 14 years old (give or take a year), which is a rather impressive age for a King Charles Cavalier spaniel.
