Planning a trip to England
I’ve decided that I should take my bike over to England. My reasoning for this is that my bike is getting quite old now as it is a 1988 GSX-R750 (about 17 years old) and so I don’t really want to be riding it 3000 miles this summer without taking it for a long ride first. As Guernsey is only 5×7 miles across you can’t really ride for any decent distance at a decent speed (without the narks and razzers coming after you!!!!!).
My plan is to head over to England for a bank holiday weekend and give it a good blast. That will give me a chance to a) check the fuel economy of the bike and b) check if there is anything wrong with the bike that needs to be sorted out before I head off through Norway.
Things I need to go to England:
- Paniers
- Fit my autocom unit
- boat tickets
- more to come…

If we are going to France, why dont you go there and go to the same place?!? Futuroscop at Poitiers!!
I had thought about that, the only possible problem being that if I break down I’ll be in france…. my french isn’t good enough to explain to some garlic crunching baguette eating french cowboy mechanic that my bikes carbs have just blown up and can he fix them for me.
Then again… if I get AA international cover I should be able to phone them up and get them to sort it all out.
