For those of you out there that are being f**ked over by Dabs.com, or are thinking of making a first time purchase from them, you may find some solace in this article by Ian Betteridge.
The article is an overview of some of the rights of consumers in the UK and gives a good guide to your rights when buying goods and to the level of service you should expect if anything goes wrong.

above is the details i managed to change too,.
Dabs refused to provide a return number for a modem as it was ordered outside their one month return period despite my informing them their policy was in breach of the sale of goods act.
I mailed the hardware recorded delivery to the managing director with a covering letter copied to the Trading Standards in Bolton.
A refund was forthcoming!
Thats great news Ian. Companies like Dabs know what the various consumer rights and sales of goods acts are but they continue to breach them on the basis that they assume the majority of consumers have no idea what the law is.
If more people contact Trading Standards with complaints like this maybe Dabs will one day get there act together.
